President Candidates:

Name: Kiley Clarquist
Semesters with WRFW: 4
Why are you running for this position? What makes you uniquely qualified for this role?: As President of WRFW this past year, I have worked to achieve considerable growth of the club and done work to make the club stronger and more organized. WRFW has grown to 40 DJs this past year through work that myself and the Leadership team has done for outreach, as well as personally working to develop a streamlined training process.
I worked to revisit the WRFW training guide, a document that was 13 pages long, featured unnecessary information and was difficult to reference. Thus, I created a simplified and highly accessible document that is available for DJ and trainer use, down to only nine pages and created collaboratively to ensure all aspects of training was covered. Additionally, I dedicated time to redoing both the physical and digital schedules, as well as other whiteboards used for DJ updates.
As a team, we also revised how WRFW was structured in the past and took time to create Leadership positions that were relevant and beneficial to the club. The Leadership team is now one that is stronger than ever, with everyone serving a purpose to better WRFW. Although I personally worked hard to get WRFW to where it is today, I attribute our successes to my peers within the Leadership team. Together, we have been able to create a club that is lively and like a family.
As President next year, I would want to shift my focus to gaining more listeners of WRFW, not just DJs. Although DJ retention is very important to me, I also recognize that the hard work all our DJs do should be heard by school and community members alike. I aim to work at this by increasing our marketing efforts (thus, the creation of "marketer" as a position) and working with other school entities to get WRFW playing on more speakers and in more headphones. Additionally, I want to continue giving the studio some much needed attention, making the lounge space more inviting and further improving our organizational efforts for the long run.

Marketing Director Candidates:

Name: Ruby Moon Conn
Semesters with WRFW: 1
Why are you running for this position? What makes you uniquely qualified for this role?: I'm interested in this marketing role because I enjoy transforming ideas into visuals that capture the audience's attention. This position allows me to combine creativity and communication that are both interesting and relatable to people. As an art major, I've learned how to communicate messages through design, creativity, and visuals. I believe I uniquely qualify for this role because I feel that I could bring a strong creative eye and the ability to think outside the box while still focusing on the audience.
Name: Ada Nelson
Semesters with WRFW: 2
Why are you running for this position? What makes you uniquely qualified for this role?: I am running for the Marketer position at WRFW because I have found great enjoyment in hosting a weekly show and I want more people across campus to join and host shows of their own. As a marketing communications major I have taken classes that have equipped me with tools to enhance the marketing of WRFW on social media as well as other channels. Apart from taking marketing classes I have experience working with local businesses in my hometown to create marketing content for them. As a part of my show (middle of nowhere music) I create weekly graphics to showcase that week's theme. I would love to use my skills to create a stronger brand voice for WRFW that attracts new DJs.
Name: Stephen Mogil

Why are you running for this position? What makes you uniquely qualified for this role?: I am applying to be the WRFW treasurer to become part of the team that runs and supports WRFW and its members. I am a Finance student and I believe that the skills I have developed will help me become a successful treasurer for our radio station. So far, I have spent my time with WRFW being involved with my radio show and helping out current leadership with tasks in and around the studio when needed.
